It is a legal requirement that a UK dormant company must provide a registered office address which is the official address for all correspondence from Companies House and HMRC. The address is publicly available and has to legally be displayed on company correspondence and websites.
The address you provide must be a real UK address, not a PO Box. Our registered office address service is ideal as it provides you with a business address that will help keep your details safe.
By using our registered office address service your neighbours will never know you have a dormant company!
Your registered office will appear as follows:
YOUR COMPANY NAME
You can use our address at Companies House as your registered office address. This is the formal address of the company as an entity and where HMRC and Companies House correspondence will be sent to.
After you have formed your company or replaced the registered office address with our address we will begin to receive your Companies House and HMRC correspondence. We then scan these letters and email them to you at no additional fee.
What details do we require?
We need a few basic details such as company name, company number and the webfiling authentication code.
As part of the Money Laundering Regulations, we are required to confirm the identity of new clients and we will request this once the order has been placed.
What is the authentication code?
The authentication code is the code issued by Companies House for filing company documents online and is a 6 character alphanumeric code. If you don’t have the authentication code, don’t worry, we can request it to the resent to the company’s registered office.
How long will it take?
Our standard turnaround time is 24 hours (subject to having the authentication code). After the order is placed one of our accountants reviews the details and clears any queries before changing the registered office address at Companies House.
What will I receive?
Once the registered office has been filed and accepted at Companies House you will receive a PDF copy of the change for your records and then scanned copies of Companies House and HMRC letters as and when received for a period of twelve months.
